  • The Re-Opening Committee presented its Phase 1 Plan to the Joint Board on Saturday, June 6. Preparation for the resumption of in-person worship has begun per the Phase 1 plan; however, there is much preparation to be completed before actually meeting in-person. Also, we must continue to monitor the COVID-19 infection rate in our community and state along Centers for Disease Control (CDC) procedural guidance. A date has not been set for our resumption of in-person worshiping. The Phase 1 procedures are for the safety of all, those attending worship as well as the safety of loved ones that congregants will re-unite with at home. The cooperation of all congregants is needed for the safety of all. These are some highlights of the procedures for Phase 1  of Re-Opening in-person worshiping:

    • Service attendance will be limited to 33% of church capacity (60 members); Preregistration will be required (Details on registration will be communicated later)

    • NO CONGREGATING!!!! (Social distancing will be observed)

    • The only Entrance will be the glass doors to the Sunday School Assembly Area (maintaining 6 feet separation)

    • Each congregant’s temperature will be taken (Those whose temperature is 100.4° F or greater will need to return home and seek medical attention for the safety of all)

    • Each congregant will be asked to complete a brief health questionnaire before entering Service

    • Each congregant is required to wear a face Mask and apply hand sanitizer before entering the Service

    • Social distancing must be maintain with NO CONTACT!!!!!!

    • The only restrooms that will be open are those in the Vestibule near the water fountain and thorough hand washing is required after use

    • There will be No Sunday School

    • Seating for the Service will be in Sanctuary Only

    • There will be No reserved seating, the ushers will escort congregants to the next available seat

    • Worship Services Order will be adjusted and shortened

    • The Choirs will not sing

    • The Preacher for the day will give the Call to Worship, Welcome, Scripture, Prayer, Sermon, and Call to Discipleship

    • The Tithe box will be available as the congregants exit the building

    • The the ushers will guide an orderly dismissal at the end of Service to insure that there is NO CONGREGATING in the building after services

    • There will be Live Streaming of the Services for those who will be unable to attend in-person

  • The Health Department is providing Free in-home COVID-19 testing for Lexington residents 60 years of age or older. Call 859-899-2200.

  • If you have not applied for an Absentee Ballot, please do so as soon as humanly possible. The application for Absentee Ballots is now available online at https://www.vote.org/absentee-ballot/kentucky/ . You must apply for an Absentee Ballot before June 15. The deadline for submitting Absentee Ballots by mail or in person at a voting precinct is June 23, 2020. Remember our vote do counts!!

  • If you are not Registered to Vote, it is too late to register for the upcoming Primary; however,  you can get information on how to register to Vote in November by Clicking Here. Please register and exericise your God Given Right to Vote your conviction.

  • Don't forget to complete your 2020 Census forms. The form can be completed online less than three minutes at https://2020census.gov
